Mr. Osborne has practiced intellectual property law as a registered patent attorney for over a decade. His practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, counseling clients with respect to their intellectual property rights, and managing international patent and trademark portfolios. Additionally, he has counseled clients in drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, including license agreements, joint development agreements, engineering service agreements, confidentiality agreements, and consulting agreements; provided legal opinions related to the validity and infringement of patent claims; participated in due diligence reviews; and provided other support related to intellectual property issues in corporate transactions. He has also supported clients in litigation of intellectual property-related matters in U.S. federal courts and in International Trade Commission (ITC) investigations.

Mr. Osborne has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the following primary areas: telecommunications, cable and satellite broadcasting, power supply electronics, consumer products and consumer product manufacturing, flexible manufacturing systems, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), media libraries, Raman spectroscopy, software, Internet, business methods, sporting and exercise equipment, and athletic garments.

Mr. Osborne has practiced law at international law firms such as Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue and Dorsey & Whitney and was in-house counsel at The Procter & Gamble Company. While attending law school at the University of Notre Dame, he was lead note editor of the Notre Dame Law Review and a teaching assistant in the Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure section.
